This policy explains how payments are handled on Bavelgo.co.uk for both buyers and sellers. Our goal is to ensure transparent, secure, and fair transactions for everyone using our marketplace.
1. Accepted Payment Methods (Buyers)
We accept the following secure payment options:
- Major debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
- PayPal
- Apple Pay (via Stripe)
- Google Pay (via Stripe)
- Stripe Payments – PCI DSS Level 1 compliant
All transactions are encrypted using SSL/TLS and processed through PCI-certified providers.
2. Seller Payouts
Payment Frequency:
- Payouts to sellers are issued twice per month, on the 1st and 15th of every month
- Payments include all eligible orders completed and not under dispute during the payout period
Minimum Withdrawal Threshold:
- Sellers must reach a minimum of £50 in available balance to receive a payout

3. Stripe for Marketplace Sellers (Stripe Connect)
We use Stripe Connect to manage marketplace payments securely.
How It Works for Sellers:
- You must create or connect a Stripe account during onboarding
- Stripe collects payment from the buyer and holds it until the order is delivered
- Funds are released to your Stripe account balance
- Bavelgo processes payouts to your chosen method every 15 days, after fees and commissions are deducted
Stripe Fees (UK example):
- Stripe charges 1.4% + £0.20 per successful domestic card transaction
- International cards: 2.9% + £0.20
- These fees are automatically deducted before payout
🔐 Stripe is FCA-regulated and ensures full compliance with UK financial regulations and PSD2.
4. Commission Structure
Your commission is based on your Seller Subscription Plan:

5. Payment Example
Example:
- Order total: £100
- Seller plan: Pro (10% commission)
- Payment method: Stripe
- Stripe fee: 1.4% + £0.20 = £1.60
- Commission: £10
Payout to seller = £100 – £10 (commission) – £1.60 (Stripe fee) = £88.40
6. Disputes & Refund Holds
In case of an open dispute or return request, Bavelgo will place the payment on hold until the issue is resolved. This helps ensure fair outcomes and protects both buyers and sellers.
